The Drouin Dragons Soccer Club was established in 1975.
With the increasing popularity of the sport in this country, we have experienced continued growth in player participation in recent years. Presently we have approximately 110 junior and 70 senior players competing at various age levels in the Gippsland Soccer League and State League 5 – South. A number of our players have gone on to represent Gippsland and Victoria in recent years.
Teams range from Under 6’s to Senior Mens teams. We field Seniors Mens, Reserves and Womens teams. A program called “Mini-Roos” runs through the regular season and caters for children under 11 years. Most of our teams have girls participating alongside the boys which is fantastic as soccer is the fastest growing sport for females in Australia. Drouin Dragons also have a dedicated Under 15’s Girls Team.
The DDSC also has a strong and dedicated Executive Committee and General Committee who continue to drive the Family orientated Club successfully on and off the Pitch.
Drouin Dragons Soccer Club has the use of 5 Full Size pitches for training and Game Days. Major Pitch works have taken place over the last two years with drainage and irrigation from Recycled Water which provides a playing surface to be used year round.
Drouin Dragons has its own Club Rooms and Change Rooms. The Club Rooms have a Canteen and Liquor Licence and organise Social Events during the Season. Major works to upgrade the Change Rooms at the end of 2017 Season are now approved and Funded by the State Government, Baw Baw Shire and DDSC Fundraising.
